Oracle has released the latest version of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2. This latest release includes new product functionality, new Fusion Middleware and database components, and introduces new tools for installing, configuring, and maintaining E-Business Suite environments.
This is a major release that offers significant enhancements across the integrated suite of business applications spanning enterprise resource planning (ERP), human capital management and supply chain management.
A breakthrough improvement is the introduction of Online Patching which offers a smooth, predictable patching process that can reduce maintenance downtime while maintaining business continuity. Online Patching uses Oracle Database’s Edition-Based Redefinition feature and other new technologies to allow the E-Business Suite to be updated while the system is still running so users can continue to enter transactions and use the E-Business Suite.
